P CAFE RESIDENCY
23rd September, 2015
I will giving a talk tomorrow evening at the Private View of my exhibiton DON'T NOT LOOK at P CAFE Gallery in Stirchley, Birmingham. The show is the culmination of a short residency at the Gallery, for which I produced a series of daily blog posts based around my observations of the area. These were both shared via social media and printed out and curated across the gallery walls, forming a poetic portrait of the subtlies of everyday life in a community undergoing transition. AIRMAIL
15th June, 2015
An image from my installation 'AIRMAIL' for ROVE at Margaret Street School of Art, Birmingham. The installation was composed of a series of 50 short prose poems capturing the shifts and allusions of everyday encounters. This was accompanied by a recording of a live reading of the texts within the exhibition space.
